AI has extraordinary potential, but without guardrails, it can fail the very people it’s meant to help.
That’s where CLEAN AI comes in.
Designed by Kafico, CLEAN AI is a practical, rights-aware governance platform that helps organisations develop and deploy AI systems with confidence. Whether you’re building models in-house, buying third-party tools, or assessing AI in operational settings, CLEAN AI gives you visibility over the decisions being made, and the risks they carry.
Our tools work with your existing development pipelines to surface fairness, transparency, and reliability issues early, before they become regulatory, reputational, or real-world problems. And we don’t just support the developers. We equip operational teams, commissioners and compliance leads with the knowledge and confidence they need to ask the right questions, document the right decisions, and deploy AI responsibly.
No jargon. No ethics theatre. Just grounded, usable governance, built for real-world systems and real human lives.

Meet Em
Emma is Chair of the East of England AI Ethics and Privacy Committee, a regular speaker at public sector events, and guest lecturer for Aston University’s MSc in Data Science. With a background in information law and a passion for human rights, she works with software companies, NHS trusts, and regulators to make sure AI works for people — not the other way round.

“In my previous role here as Head of Privacy, we engaged Emma to set up and run a privacy and AI programme.
Working with Emma, at Kafico enhanced how we approach AI ethics.
She didn’t just help us tick compliance boxes, she upskilled our data scientists to embed ethical thinking into their work.
Her training made complex issues like bias and human oversight clear and actionable, helping our team build AI with real accountability.
She also helped us create customer-facing materials that genuinely reflect our commitment to ethical AI, strengthening trust with our clients.
We would not hesitate in recommending Emma to ensure development of ethical and human rights focussed AI systems.”
Helen Simpson, Former Head Of Privacy at IESO
